After nearly an entire year of no fans and close to no racing in 2020, Plattsburgh Airborne Speedway, on Saturday night, May 1st, 2021 reopens with fans to a COVID-19 restricted capacity of 750. There were four divisions in action at Airborne: the Limited Sportsman Modified, the 4-Cylinders, the Hartson Total Opening Renegades and the DIRTcar Sportsman Series.

First, the Limited Sportsman Modified A Main, with 15 laps as the distance, would feature a race that was pretty much decided on the first few laps and would finish with only three cars on the track out of seven that started.

#18 Blayden Arquette would start off strong on Lap one with #411 Mark Fewster hanging with him. He would have some speed but would not be able to maintain that for the rest of the race as #82G Garrett Given would over take the #411 on Lap one.

After a caution on Lap four, the #18 car would start with a commanding lead with the #82G car holding in second. After the midway point, there were only three cars on the track: #18, #82G and #000 Al LaJoice for the rest of the race.

In the final few laps the #82G car would close the gap to around two car lengths but he simply did not have enough time to over take the #82G car. The #000 ended up nearly an entire lap behind the top two.
